Born in Picton New Zealand. I have been fortunate to grow up in a large family spending many hours boating in the Marlborough Sounds. I have sketched and painted all of my life.

Lived in Gisborne for 20 years and owning the “Black Truffle Art Gallery”, also exhibiting widely throughout New Zealand. Have held weekend tutorials and art extension classes for children. Was involved with Telethon and painted life on television. Listed in the “Who’s Who of New Zealand Art”

 

Moved my husband and two children back to Marlborough in 2000.
Author of : “By boats We Live” , a finalist in the Goodman Fielder Wattie Book Award. Winner of Marlborough Telecom Art Award 2003. Resident Artist at Highfield Estate Winery, Marlborough. Enjoying selling works and commissions worldwide.

Although watercolours are the centre of my work, acrylics are bright and fun and give me the freedom to paint much larger works.
